Big Boss 2 – Manoranjan ki Maa (Mother of all entertainment)

Big Boss season 2 will be on your idiot box from 17th August onwards on Channel Colors between 10 PM and 11:15 PM from Monday till Friday. This will go for next 84 days and would be having 14 celebrities this time. We all are aware that Shilpa Shetty will be the host this time and would be replacing amazing chap Arshad Warsi as Host. No news have come out yet on the probable list of celebrities. I am sure that Endemol India (Producer of the show) would be keeping this secret till the inaugural show on 17th August. Big Boss First Season was moderately hit in India but it was well appreciated by the Indian audience for its innovative format and being the first reality show. I am sure that Season 2 will come up with surprises this time to make this show more interesting to watch.

Shilpa shetty shot to the pinnacle of fame, when she won the Big Brother Reality show (Similar reality show format as Big Boss. Produced by Endemol) in London in Dec 2006. She was the first Indian in Big Brother series in London and was harassed and racially abused by co-participants Jade Goody and her mother. Endemol and channel 4 were criticised by majority of UK audiences for their inaction against public display of visible racism. Shilpa was called “Shilpa Poppadom” by Jade Goody as she was unable to remember any Indian last name. This was the second appearance by Jade Goody in the Big Brother. She was the winner of earlier series of Big brother and was requested to re-participate in another series of Big brother along with her mother and boyfriend. Shilpa managed to gather Sympathy votes from majority of audiences and won the series with clear margin.
